Could this turbo work?

Just tossing it out there... anyone seen one of these? I noticed how the ex. elbow is almost a perfect fit. What you think?

looks like a tractor turbo? or some sort of dodge cummons diesel turbo dunno, maybe if mounter on a hks manifold the dump would face downward

LOOINEY 03-11-2007 07:56 PM

it says its for a 93-95 chevrolet?... lol so a super diesil im guessing but and ex elbow like that whould be a nice fit for the DP problems we have

RicanmiataRacer 03-11-2007 08:24 PM

I think it would make life more hell than easy , but then again....no se

getsidewaysd1 03-11-2007 10:30 PM

I bet with that 90deg elbow the exhaust doesnt flow worth a shit.

Braineack 03-11-2007 10:32 PM

looks sorta like a T3 with a shitty outlet.

airbrush1 03-11-2007 11:19 PM

yeah that pinched outlet is PROBABLY a bad idea.... but it looks ovalized enough that the effective area of flow could make it efficient if the casting was designed well enough or ported and polished to maximize flow.

That said..... I still doubt it would work well

Kelly 03-11-2007 11:19 PM

That outlet is fucking awful.

fmowry 03-12-2007 07:30 AM

That looks like the standard Garrett T3 elbow/flapper housing with a v-band. It will probably work fine for the amount of boost being pushed through it.

Blaastperformance sells them on ebay from time to time.
