Couple vacum, BOV, guage questions with pics!

I'll use this as an intro also...just picked up a 90 Miata with a Greddy kit, running a safe ~5psi. However, there are a few things I would like to upgrade, and do myself, but I am graduating from the VTEC world so need some reassurance on the turbo side.

Yes, I've spent countless hours seach this site, an RX7 site, honda-tech, google blah blah but thought a decent post would help.

1. Blow off valve. The car is not currently using one. In it's place is a sort of block tube. The diameter of the opening off of the pipe is 1". Now, in order for it to receive vacume it would come off on of the two nipples on top of the throttle body, but herein lies (what I see) as my problem. One hose goes to the MSD sebring boost retard kit, and the other goes to the map sensor (see pic). Is it possible to T into the map sensor kit hose, or is there another vacume source that would be more appropriate?

2. Blow off valve continued...vented or recirculated. Upfront, I enjoy the sound of a blow off valve and as such would like it vented. Am I asking for more problems with this type as opposed to the recirculated? My reasoning is that the throttle is shut when the BOV is in operation, so there shouldn't be any difference. Are there any recommendations on which one, etc.

3. The pipe off to the left of the tubing going to under throttle body. What is the purpose of this tube? IAC?

4. Boost gauge. Where is the best place on this kit to t-into for a boost gauge. It is not running one at the moment.

Thanks for all the help!

Vacum hose

You have to recirculate because you have the AFM still. There are all sorts of places to pull vacuum. You can T almost anyone of them. Just not the one going to the FPR.

thanks, the vacuum source was my main concern. Read in the flyin Miata kit to T into the evap canister vacuum. Just have to have the intake elbow tapped now.

Had a reputable shop from the area install the BOV for me, and they said it would be fine T'ing into the line going to the BEGi unit, though it does seem strange to me. I assume that when you t into a line, the vacuum signal on the receiving ends would be decreased as it's now split?

Definetly need to put in a controller and gauge now, does any one have an DIY or how to on how to install these? The controller looks fairly simple (internal wastegate) but would like to make sure (Greddy kit) and have the controller within the cabin.

How about vacuum source for the gauge?
