Custom manifold with EGR? Size?

Looking to build a manifold, and would love a non CEL car. Looking to see what flange people are using for egr, if anyone knows the size. This for a 97 motor. Thanks!!!

EGR does not attach to the flange IIRC - it goes into one of the runners.

If you don't want CELs and you're going through the incredible amount of labor that is building a custom header, why haven't you done a standalone ECU?

I understand that; this is not my first rodeo. Minimal labor going into the header, maybe an afternoon and a few bucks. I have not made it to the standalone part of this equation as of yet, I will be using a piggy back for the time being

On the MSM does the EGR connect to the manifold or the downpipe? I would figure it could go to the down pipe so you're not putting hot exhaust gases with noticeable amount of pressure on the egr tube and solenoid.
