Heck yeah! It's not as if it spools slowly.

I know, I know, its in the pipeline. I should start a thread about pipe sizes and muffler configurations.

Go at least 2.5in. Any muffler will do the job, but if you want a nice mellow tone youll want something like I have a Thermal Muffler. I have a 3" stainless enthuza and love it. I used to have a 2.5in enthuza with a dynomax muffler on my 1.6 greddy setup and i loved the exhaust note..not too loud but slightly louder than my 3" believe it or not.

Once you uncork the greddy, it seems like it starts to spool up a lot quicker. I just cut the cat out and did a 2.5" exhaust, and now boost onset is like 2400-2500 rpm. I reach a full 5.5psig at 3200rpm. Just uncork it and it spools up a lot quicker. Ignition timing also plays a huge role in how the greddy runs. I just redid my maps at the same time, and a huge difference.

Just read a post from Bob B. that swapping his cat for a "test pipe" moved target boost 3071R down 600 rpm. Wow.

Back from the dead!

Setup:
Greddy manifold/turbo
Tony 2.5" DP
2.5" Test pipe
2 1/4 spec miata exhaust (12" resonator + muffler)
Home Depot style MBC and helper spring.

2300rpm = onset
3000prm = 5psi
3500rpm = 7.5psi
4000rpm = 12.6psi
4500rpm = 16.7psi (peak drops off to about 15psi)

Wow your spool is like mine. Get your timing situated, and you should be making a tad more power than I am. You might want to drop your boost just a touch though--the td04-15 is just blowin hot air at 17 psi.

That is from DLL right? Is there any easy way to have it display min/max for each item in the graph? I see megaview does this and I like it. Can get a good handle on it using the scatter graph I guess.

16.7 psi isn't by design I need to tweak the MBC a bit, I was shooting for 14-15 psi.

Didn't you get the boost solenoid?

Yes I did. But I don't have it working yet. It's the only issue I've yet to resolve with my link, I'm assuming it's the wiring. Moving some of the wires on the stock harness leaves them VERY tight (as you know), I suspect that something has come loose. I've got to pull it all apart and extend a couple of the wires (knock and boost control).

Anyway, the MBC does a pretty decent job.

When I wired mine up, I ran new wires into the cabin instead of grabbing stock wires by cutting them at the diag box and moving them at the ecu. I wanted my wiring to be "cleaner" than what the FM manual instructed me to do.

I did grab +12v for the boost solenoid from the appropriate pin at the diag box, but I opened up the box and made the connection inside it, then closed the box back up. So it all looks factory, or psuedo-factory at least.
