Det on 1 and 2
Hi from the Uk :)
Is det on 1 and 2 a 'thing'? Loving my car on a TD05 16G peaking 20 and holding 18. Rods only build done 12k miles ago with acl's etc. etc. Smoke after the overrun so did a head on valve stem seals replacement (used two trainer laces tied together) with OE seals. Still smoked. Turns out I may not have had the valve guides done last time...... My fault not the machine shop I think.... So the engine is apart and I'm going to do pistons too now and go a bit bigger with a Churbo as have used that stuff plenty times before on RX7's and others. I have found some det marks on 1 and 2. Now I know you guys over there love your re routes to take care of cylinder 4 but apart from having the EV14 injectors checked which were new, does anyone have any ideas to what else to look for? Edit - 3 and 4 are mint btw. |

More specifically, det on a single cylinder, or only on half the cylinders, is just not a thing. :)

Ha ha thanks. My first Miata, didn't know if there was any foibles to learn around the fueling / intake. Cylinder specific afr would be soooooo nice.
