i needed some fittings to tee into my oil pressure sending port for my oil feed line, so i went to a local hydralic supply company. showed the counter man what i needed. he comes back with exactly what i need. i ask how much. he says don't worry about it. that has made me feel good all day

That's awesome. My local hyd shop (Hampton Rubber Supply) guys are AWESOME!!! They build a lot of stuff for the military, custom stuff for ships engineering rooms and what not... huge Navy contracts (some of the stuff they have back there looks like it could fuel up the Space Shuttle's main tank)... then there's me.

For about 2 months or so I was in there twice a week... "Hey LT, how's that little tic-tac you drive coming... we ever gonna see it?" Ex-Chiefs crack me up!

speaking of free stuff, i went to the local fastenal today to find a replacement bolt for the bottom of the alternator. The guy helps me get the bolt, a few nuts and some washers and then tells me its on the house I was pretty happy.
