DIY boost needs DIY AFR/Boost gauge
So Arduino is great, and can do many good things, how about boost and afr display I thought
aaaaaaaaaaaaaaaand here is where I am at :D https://lh4.googleusercontent.com/-W...-no/2013-11-22 Takes signal from wideband and uses a honda map sensor. Displays AFR, boost, and peak. Has a menu to adjust warning level and display brightness. Proto board soldered up, working like a champ. I followed the guide here How to build a Boost and Air Fuel Ratio LCD Gauge | MyLife but I had to change the code some to get it to work sorry for the crappy pic :/ |
i like it. what did all the part run ya?
|
well I already had the arduino, but I know you can get the uno and the display together for like 40 bucks?
|
pretty cool. Thanks for sharing!

Whats the size of the display and how does it do in sunlight? It seems a bit small to be read easily.

3/4"x2" maybe? Its pretty easy to read in the day, especially since there is a bar on the screen that increases and decreases in size with AFRs, and the boost will tell you your peak, so a quick glance will tell you what you need to know. It could be displayed on a larger screen too pretty easily. |
