When you were searching, did you do TITLE SEARCHES or were you just using the standard SEARCH BOX? When you want to get serious with your searching, be sure to click on ADVANCED SEARCH and enable some of the filters.
I just tried a few searches, and a title search for "RAIL" produced 66 threads, of which about 10 were examples of DIY rails, including the link to the Useful saved posts thread. Searches for "dual feed" or "fuel rail" returned too many random threads... but just "RAIL" did the trick.
You also need to remember that some people manage to misspell stuff in their titles. Forum mods here are fairly good at correcting major spelling mistakes that would make a thread searchless... like saying "Duel feed fuel rail"... spelling dual "DUEL" means nobody would ever find it in a title search. But other forums won't correct spellings, so you should always try common misspellings as your last chance to find a thread.
One hint... USE A DRILL PRESS to ensure your hole in the rail is centered and clean. Use a punch to mark the center of the rail-end and drill a pilot hole... then use your big bit. CLEAN the fuck out of the inside of the rail. Use compressed air and look in there real close with a flashlight to make sure there aren't any metal shavings. You could also tape over all the injector holes and hook up an air source to the fuel inlet to keep positive pressure in the rail while you're drilling. It's also a perfect time to paint the rail black... or pink.
