DIY fuel return restrictor/pressure increase?
Just wondering if anyone here had come up with/tried a DIY fuel pressure increase by restricting the return line.....
It made sense to me that you could place a small flow restrictor (such as perhaps a small metal shaft that had been centre drilled) inside the fuel hose on the return line. You could hold it in place with a hose clamp, and is would effectively reduce cross sectional area inside the hose, increasing fuel line pressure..... Or would it be negated by the stock FPR???? I don't know the maths off the top of my head, but is there anyone here who could work out how much reduction in CSA you would need? There is a similar small white plastic restrictor inside the hose on the tapped cover breather hose.... that's what made me think of it......... |
Just buy a afpr man, there cheap.

it will raise the fuel pressure but it won't be adjustable, you'll have way too much fuel pressure at idle. start you car and squeeze the return line and you'll see
