Default Oil filter relocation + sandwich plate

I was thinking how much easier life would be if the filter were mounted on the firewall and a sandwich plate installed so that all lines and ports would be easily accessible. My only fear is gravity pulling oil back down, thus leaving the filter and lines being dry for a couple of seconds before the oil builds back up, rendering a couple of seconds of the turbo running dry every time the pressure builds up.

Is this a valid concern or is it kaput?

Why the firewall? Why not vertically mounted low somewhere? More easily accessible and much less messy.

Just a thought, I'm open to suggestions.
