I don't doubt the manifold makes the car run, it's just not the best. Truth be told, I would also run that manifold if it was free along with free repairs/replacements as needed. He's cracked a few of their manifolds in the past (old designs I'm sure). I'd like to know if his manifold is braced. If it's really 321, it's thin walled which will require a brace. Sch10 doesn't need a brace when welded properly, but if that's the case it's either 304 or 316 stainless. I find it interesting that there are no pictures of the manifold in that link. I've never seen a shiny ceramic coating last more than a few heat cycles, that's my guess.

I love how your willing to buy a 1200 dollar BB turbo..... and you intend to hotpipe it because you cant afford a FMIC.......
why not buy a reasonablely priced turbo and actually be able to afford completeing yoursetup

This is what's wrong with this thread:
If you know so much, yet have to ask us if you could hit the -minimum- goal I've ever seen anyone on this forum set, then we assume you need our help, and are probably a newb. Especially when such a small number is right below such a capable turbo.
Notice you also openly asked for comments and criticisms, which we unfortunately had a lot more of than the questions I guess you were expecting to reveal your true game plan.

So I have a friend with a dodge cummins desiel and he wrecked it and I was looking at the turbo and was thinking I should get rid of my chinacharger for this. You guys think my 1.6 can make around 220 with this thing?

AEM does all of that, and with the Series 1 ECUs on closeout right now they are a smoking deal. I paid about $1100 for mine."

Individual cylinder trims: Can be had in the newest version of the DIYPNP, at least for fuel.
Knock sensing: Been around for a while, although nobody's really put in the effort to trash a dozen Miata engines on the dyno to get it dialed in perfectly. I'm not sure how much testing AEM has put into theirs.
Onboard data logging: OK, that's one you will need to wait for MS3 to get.
VVT control: Ok, another one that is still in development.
Real closed loop boost control: Functioning reasonably well in MS2/Extra.
We've had four cylinder motors running MegaSquirt versions making four digit hp numbers. The "1000 hp and 25 mpg" car on the cover of the recent issue of Hot Rod Magazine? It's running a MS1 based ECU.
