I'm running my mouth - followed the link - it took me to a Mazdausa page showing pictures of a NA with a title 1999 Mazda Miata MX-5. 1999, NA ? I think not.

I don't doubt the manifold makes the car run, it's just not the best. Truth be told, I would also run that manifold if it was free along with free repairs/replacements as needed. He's cracked a few of their manifolds in the past (old designs I'm sure). I'd like to know if his manifold is braced. If it's really 321, it's thin walled which will require a brace. Sch10 doesn't need a brace when welded properly, but if that's the case it's either 304 or 316 stainless. I find it interesting that there are no pictures of the manifold in that link. I've never seen a shiny ceramic coating last more than a few heat cycles, that's my guess.

OP: What do you think of my budget plan?
MT: You could do it better for cheaper.
OP: You guys are cheapskate idiots. I'm not really on a budget. I want top shelf everything.
MT: Some of those things could still be done better for less.
OP: You Miataturbo guys no nothing about turboing Miatas. I know more about turbo Miatas because I had a Supra.
MT: Well, go on with your bad self, then. BTW, why did you even bother asking us when you already know everything?
OP: You don't know my real goals.
MT: You were elusive about them.
OP: You guys are just a bunch of punk kids who don't have any real experience.
MT: We know your choice of manifolds is complete dogshit. {with pics} (And I can tell by your level of decorum that you are not as old as many of us. Or you are simply an immature adult.)
OP: Umm...well...that manifold... How did that happen?
MT: It happened because you are arrogant. "Pride goes before destruction, a haughty spirit before a fall." Try doing a little less pontificating and a bit more studying and you might not be so quick to prove your ignorance in the future.

Enjoy your crow.

Oh, I nearly forgot. Since this is your "Meet and Greet" thread introducing yourself to the forum in the "Meet and Greet" section, welcome.

I love how your willing to buy a 1200 dollar BB turbo..... and you intend to hotpipe it because you cant afford a FMIC.......

why not buy a reasonablely priced turbo and actually be able to afford completeing yoursetup

FMIC are for supras. We're all stupid and don't need them cause we don't make 800hp at 32psi

There is some serious Down Syndrome going on here. I'm not going to waste time explaining myself to people who can't read.

This is what's wrong with this thread:

Questions? Comments? Criticisms?

If you know so much, yet have to ask us if you could hit the -minimum- goal I've ever seen anyone on this forum set, then we assume you need our help, and are probably a newb. Especially when such a small number is right below such a capable turbo.

Notice you also openly asked for comments and criticisms, which we unfortunately had a lot more of than the questions I guess you were expecting to reveal your true game plan.

Garbage in...garbage out.

So I have a friend with a dodge cummins desiel and he wrecked it and I was looking at the turbo and was thinking I should get rid of my chinacharger for this. You guys think my 1.6 can make around 220 with this thing?

Yes! If a little turbo is good, a bigger one must be gooder!

towards the end he ends up blowing the motor due to some slight downfalls of the MS ECU, and is now using an AEM. Coming from a very experienced MS user (Savington): "The MSPNP wasn't doing anything wrong, but it wasn't doing some things at all. I want individual cylinder trims, knock sensing, onboard datalogging, VVT control, and real closed-loop boost control. AEM does all of that, and with the Series 1 ECUs on closeout right now they are a smoking deal. I paid about $1100 for mine."
Some of that information is moderately out of date.

Individual cylinder trims: Can be had in the newest version of the DIYPNP, at least for fuel.

Knock sensing: Been around for a while, although nobody's really put in the effort to trash a dozen Miata engines on the dyno to get it dialed in perfectly. I'm not sure how much testing AEM has put into theirs.

Onboard data logging: OK, that's one you will need to wait for MS3 to get.

VVT control: Ok, another one that is still in development.

Real closed loop boost control: Functioning reasonably well in MS2/Extra.

We've had four cylinder motors running MegaSquirt versions making four digit hp numbers. The "1000 hp and 25 mpg" car on the cover of the recent issue of Hot Rod Magazine? It's running a MS1 based ECU.

Yeah man...those things make like 500ftlbs of torque at idle...so spool should be pretty good.

Questions have question marks at the end.

Saying you are wondering about something implies an inquisitive tone, as well as stating that you are unsure...ie..do not know. In casual conversation it is acceptable to respond with your opinion on a matter when someone says they are "wondering" about something.

I don't **** with cheap RWD Subies. Especially if it doesn't have a GT40. But it's gotta have a stock top mount on it cause I can just add more fuel from my 1200cc injectors to cancel a real IC

Also, one fender is cotton candy pink. Oh, and it has sutures on the bumper. Will that be an issue?
