DP recommendation for 6258?
Hello friends -- I'm looking to pick up a 6258 in the next few weeks, but I'm coming to the sad realization that my poor FM manifold and DP are not going to work. I am a firm believer in log manifolds and their strength, so I would love to keep my FM manifold. However, from looking at photos, it looks as if the turbo will end up sitting to far aft? On top of that, I don't see how I would fit a large DP in there as well.
Any recommendations on downpipes that will work in this application?? or should I start looking at new manifolds? I see the track speed option -- not looking for the entire kit, so this might not be a viable option. |
My manifold and DP are available as separate pieces. Your EFR won't fit on the FM manifold in your engine bay without substantal tub modifications, and there's no off-the-shelf downpipe option.

TSE sells the mani and dp without the turbo I believe

Yep you will need to cut the rear shelf significantly to fit a custom EFR down pipe with a FM/Begi log manifold.
|
i can confirm this as well. I just fit an EFR on a center mounted log type (ArTech) and i had to remove a LOT of the shelf. like 1" for a 12" long path around the shelf. the result was absolute minimum clearance.
