Drill bit for oil return

Does anybody have a 45/64 or even a 23/32 drill bit with a 1/2in shank that you could lend me or I'll even buy it? For some reason or another every store around my area doesn't carry that size or the ones that do require a drill with a 3/4in chuck

Looks like they have a tap and die kit for pipe sizes up to 1/2 inch for $10

And I just picked up a tap and 11/16 for a half inch drill for $55 for a friend:sadwavey:

What I'm saying is you can use an 11/16 drill bit.

I believe mine's a 11/16" drill bit, cost like $10; 1/2" tap cost me $20

Ya, I got a 1/2" NTP tap, but I didnt know you could use a 11/16" drill bit. I guess I look around for a 11/16". Thanks guys.

I've been told the correct size is supposed to be like 45/64 but for the kind of hole you're tapping and the fact that you're going to be using a tapered fitting and jbweld there is no reason, hell there is barely 2 threads in the pan itself when you get done. Glad to hear 11/16" works fine.

Trying to get your stuff back to you man, sorry again.

It all depends i think mine is bigger more like 3/4 inch.
