Drilling into a coupler
Advisable? I'm in the process of redoing my coldside piping, and it looks like the best place for the big 90* coupler is on the TB. This means I'd need to put the WI nozzle in the coupler. I think I remember reading of someone else here who'd done this, but I don't remember. :hustler:

Even if I had as many posts as you Joe, they can't hold a candle to yours content-wise.
Interesting find, that adapter looks like it'd function just the same as my inside-mount nozzle. I've been considering going to an outside-mount, maybe I will. It does at least verify what I'd thought; if there's adequate spread of force on either side of the coupler, it ought to be a good connection and not leak. edit - attached picture of what I'm thinking. |
I just picked up an outside mount to replace the old D.O. nozzle I had. MUCH nicer! Just FYI. Wish I had seen that adapter though before I put mine in the 1 hardpipe in my setup. Would have worked better elsewhere. Oh well.
