How about less than $10 worth of parts to do it yourself to your own stock rail. It works just fine.

Do you have a pic of the DIY rail?

What do you guys do on this forum? It seems everyone misses the stickies, they're there for a reason.

From my website:
The new rail was made by tapping the far end of a stock rail with a 1/8" NPT tap and screwing in a 5/16" hose barb.

Rob, did you simply finish it in rattle can yellow? Or did you have it coated?

Lex 04-27-2007 07:10 PM

Thanks for the pic. I have a vishnu rail I will install - when will the stock rail's volume start to be an issue?

It's different for an M2 rail. Here's one how-to for that. Seems a lot more complicated.

rattle can - I probably would have had it coated but a free can of paint sitting beside me vs shipping the thing off and paying someone to do it seemed like the cheap way was more in line with what I wanted to do with the car.

I don't see how the NB rail is any more complicated.

cjernigan 04-28-2007 06:44 PM

It's not more complicated. Pretty sure you can just drill and tap the top of the fuel rail instead of the side like you would normally. It gives you close to the same results and you just hav to use a 90* fitting instead.

Robert, thanks for the idea. Here's how my copycat rattle can black dual feed.

Is everything in your engine bay going to be black?

Ben 05-03-2007 09:32 AM

Not really, I don't want to make a big project of it. But since I had an extra rail, and since I'm going to have to swap out injectors anyway, I went ahead and painted it. The big question is--what injectors will go into the rail? I have a set of NB 1.8's and a set of RCEng 440's :bigtu:
