Default straight through or high flow??

Im putting a turbo on my car now. I am wondering what i should run. Either a straight through pipe, or leave my high flow cat in? Which would sound better or make more power? Thanks

Mike

Straight thru is better for power. Cat is better for neighbors.

I read somewhere that running AFRs on the rich side can lead to quicker catalyst failure as the fuel burns in the exhaust, true? It might be something to consider.

Aha I don't care about my neighbors, I only care about the cops. And I have to get a emissions test, in 2008 my last one finally think it will pass with a straight through? Or am I going to have the throw the high flow back on?

For an emissions test I think you will absolutely need the cat on.

Just find a nice hi-flow cat and be done with it. My magnaflow 2.5 inch cat cost me 45 bucks. I pass emissions with flying colors and make plenty of power.

yea thats what i got on now is a maganaflow high flow, so il just leave that on. I have a straight through, well my old cat, i bored it out so there not catalyst in it but it sounds tinny.
