Easter teamed RX8 injectors
The Easter-Bunny came early and delivered me these nice RX-8 injectors:
I started to swap out the old ones and I noticed the bottom O-ring is not included with the new injectors. And I am unsure if I can reuse the stock bottom O-ring, since it will place the end of the nozzle not at the same depth in the injection chamber as the stock injectors. Picture of RX8 and stock injector with bottom O-ring under it Hole to long to fit RX8 injector with stock bottom O-ring? I myself believe it will be fine to reuse the O-rings from the stock injectors, the spray pattern cant be that affected. But what do I know.., it would be grate if someone could confirm this. |
You get new miata injector o-rings so you don't have vacuum leaks. The shit off your twenty-five year old injectors is not reusable.
Or you can stretch the new not rock hard injector seats over the pintle caps, or you can just take the caps off, didn't bother my car any. |
New orings are too cheap not to get

Thanks for response. Do anyone know the dimensions of the O-ring? (if i can use a generic universal one?) Wonder if the Mazda workshops can sell me some, else it looks like another couple of weeks waiting for parts in the mail.

there's a guy here selling replacement proper O-rings for pennies, I think he has a thread in classifieds
|
Couldnt find the guy, God knows where he is and what hes dealing now. I ordered 8 sets from rockauto
Im bitter about all the purchases I have made where the shipping costs more than the item. :burncash: But at least from China they miss label the package value for you to cheat the tax man. Maybe Trump can do something about that soon. |
