EGR take off point question
Sorry if this has been answered before... I searched and couldn't find the answer:noob: I have a 99ae that I am putting a bits and pieces turbo set up on.
Can the egr take off point be from the turbo down-pipe or does it have to come from the turbo manifold? I guess there is more heat and higher pressure at the manifold which makes it the best place to tap in but the manifold I am using is an ebay s4 type and I am reluctant to weld a tapping point in it as it looks fragile. An easier alternative is to tap into the down-pipe. Would this be OK? Is there a danger of reverse flow or some other things I'm missing? thx, William |

I added a take of to the down-pipe for the egr before the wb bung. I will use this and see. I could use it for measuring pressure if it fails at egr.
