Emissions question

First off, removing the EGR and related equipment is a bit of a pain in the balls. Im making blockoff plates and will finish that tomorrow.

Im getting rid of the EGR - STFU hippies, I plan on getting rid of the cat. I'm definitely going to have a CEL so would there be any reason to keep the rear o2, or should I just ditch it too?

Im just going to either put a switch on or remove my CEL altogether.

If you dont have to pass emissions then theres no reason to keep anything emissions related.

Cool thats what I was thinking.

Can someone that has removed the EGR equipment post up instructions? I see where the tube connects to the back of the intake manifold, but what else needs to be done? I live in FL, and we dont have emissions testing anymore. Or, can someone post up ics of how they customized an EGR fitting to the manifold. I am looking for guidance.

Uhh... just because you don't get tested in your location doesn't mean it's legal. Removing your cat, egr, rear O2, etc is in violation of FEDERAL law. If the right people notice you could face some nasty legal action. Not likely right now, but eventually some asshole politician is going to make a move on car enthusiasts.

No one is going to notice.

What you say may happen, but I doubt any time soon. This isnt california and before that kinda legislation spreads to the rest of the country our cars will be disintegrating from rust.

To the op: Junk the egr or just block off the pipe that goes to the intake, and put a straight pipe through the cat to prevent "the right people" from noticing.
