Evo IIX intercooler
I picked up one a few weeks ago for mu turbo build. Looking to build a 1.8 shooting for 250-300 whp. Will it be sufficient? Core is 19x11x~2

considering the evo's hit 350-380whp on this same intercooler I'd say yes
|
One more question I forgot to add...the inlet and outlet cuve down if it's faced upwards correctly. Would it make any difference if I mounted it upside down for ease of running tubing?
|
no.
I modified mine as well. works just fine. |

The mitsubishi engineers put a lot of time and money into that design, why mess with a good thing? |
the air is still coming in from one side and going out the other. he's not modifying the end tanks, just the pipes going TO the tanks. the only reason they point down like that is cuase the evo's frame and other front end stuff is up there so they have to route the ic piping under it.

I forgot to arm my [sarcasm] meter:giggle:

wouldn't the air float too high rather than sink considering its hot going into the intercooler?
