Exhaust header gasket-what type?
OK, what type of exhaust header gasket is best? I'm running 8 pounds boost with a ram-horn style header on a 96 miata.
which is best? a three piece metal gasket (like a stock one) or a foam and metal sandwich style gasket? Thanks! |

clarification: option two is called an aluminum graphite gasket
|
OK thanks. I currently have a aluminum graphite gasket on the car (it came with the header) and i'm getting a small leak I believe. It sounds almost like a bad lifter, but is coming from the area where the header meets the engine. i was hoping someone would say that I have the wrong gasket.

Questions like "should I surface this flange" are always answered with, "hell yeah" on this forum.
