Default TDO4HL-15G Flange Type

Does anyone know what flange this turbo is. I believe it is a t3 flange, but am not quite sure. This turbo came off a volvo and I do not know what model the volvo was. Any help is greatly appreciated thanks.

If it helps any, the TDO4H G15 that comes with the greddy kit is exact same flange as a T25 off of a redtop SR20DET.

Is it like a curved flange by any chance?

Take a look at my webpage (www.diymiata.com) because I am using that turbo. It has a T3 bolt pattern but a T3 flange will not cover the round turbine inlet. I just welded a steel plate on top of the flange to cover it up.

Because the round recess in it will cause a humongous leak when mated to a normal T3 flange. You need to either weld a plate on or machine down the recess like I did.

Scott, that flange is for attaching a "normal" turbo's turbine flange to the stock Volvo manifold (which has a lip on the manifold outlet flange). Sickmiata09 has the opposite situation...he's got the Volvo turbo with the recessed flange on the turbine inlet. He needs to machine it down so it can mate to a "normal" T3 manifold flange.

SickMiata, I just found that JGS Turbo sells the Volvo-specific manifold flange to mate with the stock turbine, so you wouldn't have to machine it down (if you ever went to a standard T3 turbo down the road, you could just machine down the lip on the manifold flange) --> http://www.jgsturbo.com/trbflg.html

I don't believe they offered that flange back when I built my turbo kit because I bought an oil drain kit from them and would like to believe I would've noticed it, had they offered it at the time

They must've stocked that flange recently cause when I did my turbo a little over a year ago the definitely didn't have that, otherwise I would've bought it in a heartbeat and saved a LOT of heartache.
