Default Waste Gate Set up





Anyone see any issues here? i can adjust the preload with a slot in the bracket on the cylinder head

Besides it's flimsyness? No. Turn the regulator on a compressor way down and blow it in the wastegate once it's all hooked up, I bet you'll see a lot of movement.

You quite literally appear to have the exact setup I have. Check out my build thread for my rock solid exhaust clamp mount.

You think? ill try that and see if it moves.. i pulled at it a few times and it seemed solid.. ill try that and video it and see what you think then?

Ill check that out now

I'm thinking that you'll eventually see a crack at the single bolt near the head. You've got a pretty long moment arm and a lot of vibration. If you don't want to reinforce it now, it would be OK to just keep an eye on it. A failure there won't hurt anything (failure mode would be an open wastegate) and will be easy to fix.

Why not build a shorter bracket mounted on the compressor inlet adapter stud I see in your pic?
