Default intercooler coupler q's

hey fellas,

i'm gonna diy a MSM intercooler into my Begi-S. i have an idea of how i'm gonna run it, but i was hoping to confirm some dimensions before i place an order on couplers.

2" charge outlet on a GT2554?
2" inlet/outlet on the msm intercooler?
2.5" throttle body?

thanks.

I would just use a tape measure...or use a string to wrap around the pipe measuring circumference then calculate diameter from that. That's what I did with my piping.

The MSM guys complain to no end that the stock IC is barely adequate for moderate street driving. Anything that could be considered "spirited" or in hot weather results in heat soak. Your turbo isn't any more efficient than the MSM's and you're running the same amount of boost. Plus, the thing is so small it look really dumb sitting there in the middle of the rad.

Unless you can do the whole thing for free, I'd pass and get a universal eBay kit for cheap. The CXRacing 27" is the exact width of the stock radiator making around the rad configurations simple.

+1, throw the MSM IC away and get an eBay core.

The MSM IC inlet and Outlet are 2 1/8", no 2". So you will need larger clamps, and that size turbo hose also.

nick get the ebay IC more effective, and you won't have to redo your IC piping soon as you hit its limits.

Why make the intercooler pipes fit with the MSM intercooler, just to re-do and re-buy it all when you want a better intercooler just my thought process
