Flexible intercooler piping?
Does any one know where I can get intercooler piping like FM or some other type of flexible piping. I want it to retain its shape and not collapse when i bend it. I want to do aluminum piping but its really tight in my 99. Any info is appreciated.:)

Alot of manufacturers use a radiator type hose in their OEM setups (cough: Mitsubishi) which IMO just isn't as efficient. I would hard pipe as much as possible. Maybe show us a pic of your setup and we can go crayola style and help you out.

do a search on ebay for "silicone elbow"

I got a bunch of flexible IC pipe from a Starion at the junkyard. Easy to route, works great.

what size are the starion pipes

I can get you good prices here:
http://www.siliconhoses.com/index.as...=&cat=&loc=com But really silicon and rubber hoses will collapse unless they are either corrugated or wire reinforced if bent to any great degree. Wire reinforced is expensive and corrugated sucks for flow... |
I have been using some radiator hose for several years now with no issues. It was cheap crapzone stuff, but makes install a snap.

In addition, don't discount the inherant cooling effect provided by all-metal piping. I believe that Corky has done some testing to prove that this phenomenon does take place, even with an I/C.
