OK. So the ideal is connectors up, but that is not possible. See this pic:

Connector has room to face down, but cannot face up.

I did (2) things to help hold them in position. First, I swapped the 2.5mm spacers for 2mm thick oil change crush washers. That tightened things a little bit. Then I tie-wrapped the cabling to roughly make the injectors comfortable in the correct position.

I had problems with the #2 cylinder injector, so I cut the EV1 connectors from the main harness and the converter harnesses and used them as pigtails. I used the funky shrink and solder things that IIRC Ian pointed us to. I did have some issue with the non-tined wires wetting properly and so had to re-do 3 of the 8 connections.

In the end, the injectors passed the MS test sequence and the car started right up.

Thanks for the info! Can't tell from the pics, what angle were you able to get them to stay at?

You have an NB 1.8 right?

NB1. Connectors straight down. Same position as OEM.
