Need an independent source to file something like this to be believable.

I love my chinacharger. I wouldn't go back to Garrett unless it was a killer deal.

If you want an unbiased opinion on quality, search out one of the chinacharger threads here from people who have actually run them.

Don't get me wrong, I love my Garrett but believing you'll get an unbiased opinion from a comparison probably sponsored by Garret, done by a Garrett distributor is like asking a crackhead his opinion on drug use in America.

1. I can almost guarantee some poor intern was assigned this task. Has my work written all over it.

2. This is an EXCELLENT how-to for the Chinese on how to improve the quality of their turbochargers. I support this study...

The pictures on 5 crack me up, the "dirty" picture is so much darker, you can't even see the bottom of the manifold.

'Cool analysis/comparison. Thanks for posting.

Page 29 is pretty amazing, seeing the compressor wheel and how its not 100% circular.

Page 38 is amazing as well, looking at the oil journals. The filing of the oil journal looks terrible. I could do better than that in my garage! Hehe.

Those two photos are odd.

Looks like they are using different shutter exposures between the two photos, and the reman is photographed with a flash, whereas the oem is not.

No...you gotta spend years in rehab and then magically give your career some major CPR to do that.
