Found a Turbo Specialties kit in my area...

Dude told me he would take $750 for the kit. Comes with cast manifold, Supposed Garret GT2554 turbo, all the line, intercooler and pipes, Injection Control Unit and injectors I believe, Homemade DP it looks like, couple gauges, and what looks to be an AFPR. Would you say this is a good starting point for piecing together your own kit? I mainly want the mani and turbo and the AFPR. Other stuff can be sold so I can buy better. He said there isn't any shaft play and the car ran superb when it came off the car. The car was in an accident I'm assuming.

I know the kit wasn't that great at the original price but getting something like it for a lot less might be worth the spend. Tell me your thoughts people, I might go grab this tomorrow...

Edit: Just found out it came from a Protege. If that makes it any better/worse.

$750 for that manifold, lines (They appear to be stainless steel), and a genuine 2554 is actually at least a decent deal - assuming the turbo is genuine.

Assume the fittings/lines/manifold/turbo are good, the rest is ----.

too bad no real pics of the important stuff.

all i know about that kit is, when Urabn Soot sold the turbo off his to Paul, it was actually smaller than a 2554.

Yeah thats what i read in his review that it was a 2252 I believe. It looks like the turbo is on backwards from what it's supposed to be on a miata. This is a 4-bolt flange, assuming, so it would be easy to just turn it around right?

id like to assume he somehow mirrored the picture...

I looked it over really well, then found coils on here for the same price basically, so I'm going to get them instead. Theres to much going on a unneeded in this kit for me to just buy it and use only a select few things.
