Fuel Pressure Gauges?
Hi,
I was wondering if all pressure gauges were the same? For example, I have this generic gauge here: http://members.shaw.ca/harvwong/IMG_0796.JPG that originally was used to test water pressure. Its a mechanical gauge that goes from 0-160PSI and looks to have a 1/4" NPT threaded end for various fittings. Can I use this as a fuel pressure gauge? Thanks for your help. |
yep shoulld work just fine.

it'll work. the cheapest $7 pressure gauge will work. I wouldn't leave it as a permanent solution, but for tuning purposes it will get the job done.
|
yeah... don't mount it for permanent use. if it was designed for water the gasoline will likely destroy the seals in it fairly quickly and result in a high pressure fuel leak. engine bay fires suck shit.

Ah, thanks for your advice everyone!

i got mine rated for hydraulic seems to be holding up ok.
