which fuel pump for E85?
My plans are to run E85 /flex fuel set up, I am running 1000cc injectors, i was planning on running a 255lph inline walbro pump (my fuel tank is sumped) My friend suggested i will need 2 pump due to the increase of fuel. I think i recall you will need an additional 40% more fuel? Does anyone know if i will need 2 fuel pump? will regular walbros work or do i need a special pump for E85? My goal is 3-350 hp on a b6t (1.6).

1 walbro hp 250 or dw200 will do just fine for 350hp and e85
it is tapped out somewhere in the high 300's low 400's |
have you looked at the AEM fuel pump? Its in tank and is 320lph. About $100 i think.

Go big or go home Bosch 044. Not really serious, but read fae's sticky on it, was so awesome I just had to do it.

I went with the Treadstone TRE342
I haven't put it in the car yet, but the price was pretty good. Especially with a 3 year warranty. |
DW300 is, imo, the best damn pump ever.

I need something inline i believe the bosch is right?

I have no idea about the OP's question but
When I need to redo my fuel system, I will look at the Aeromotive 11142 in take turbine style pump, >340lph @ 40psi. Everything I've experience with aeromotive as been very nice, so I hope their fuel pump would also. The DW300 looks nice @320lph @40psi and similar/same money $165, says E85 is fine. I didn't know about AEM's pump, quite cheap at $105 retail, 320lph@43 psi, says reduced life with E85. But like aeromotive, everything AEM i've used has been nice. I heard the bosch 044 was loud? |

I would use a DW300. It will easily support ~400whp on E85. If you need more, use an 044 to boost the base pressure and feed it with the DW300. |

Enjoy your fuel starvation at 1/4 tank. If it doesn't use a factory sock, it doesn't belong in the tank.

It’s also a lot quieter than Walbro |

The competitors listed in this thread can’t do one thing that we do, application specific install kits. They only offer their pumps with the one universal install kit. We offer two Miata specific kits, one for the 89-93 and one for the 94-05. In order for an intake pump to work properly in the Miata, it needs the proper install kit and fuel sock, and the DW pumps have that. Our pumps are also backed by a 3-year warranty and industry leading tech support. |
What do you offer for inline applications? I dont own a miata. I am running a,sumped gas tank.

If you use the little flat white sock that the Walbros come with, you can expect starvation with ~1 gallon left. Use the OEM sock that angles down and the car will finally starve mid-corner with ~8oz left in the tank.
