Garrett T3/T25 turbo question
today im look at a "Garrett T3/T25 turbo assembly from RB26 (R33 Nissan GTR), includes compressor (T3, 0.42 A/R, 50T), turbine (T25, 0.48 A/R, 62T), wastegate actuator, turbo outlet". also im planning to order begi S turbo system without the turbo. So my question is will this turbo work with begi S turbo system?
my goal is just street fun. around 5-7psi. here is some pics of the turbo. http://images.craigslist.org/3nf3k83...207dfa1f6b.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/3n73me3...f2162e1e86.jpg http://images.craigslist.org/3kb3mc3...2c619f1ec2.jpg |
You are going to have to clock the turbo, and the downpipe flange is different than the standard GT25XX turbine.

In order for it to work with the BEGi-S Kit, you will have to send me the turbo to alter it. The compressor inlet and outlets need to be tube, not a flange mount. The turbine outlet flange will also have to be custom made to work with the downpipe. The actuator may or may not be re-usable. It will depend on how it sits once clocked. But we can work the turbo kit around the turbo.

The price on this turbo is only $75. Will that be cheaper and better with all those custom made? or should i just go with the original begi s kit?
|
Less money : yes, but much more leg work Better? maybe. Go with the kit sure, but thats the easy way out and no longer a cheap DIY turbo. So bottom line you can make anything work. If you got some fab skills or know someone that does. plus, There is alot of talant (fab skills) out there in hawaii, just just have to find it.

For the sake of being a complete royal pain in the arse and making the people at BEGI (or whomever) sigh disappointingly when they see your name on the caller ID, you should go with the kit as-is and pay a little extra.
