Alright cool! Thank you guys for all of the helpful information. I really have no mechanical skill and my dad helps me with a lot of the stuff that I do on the car and ill admit it. Its a learning experience for me and ill def be looking into buying a PNP and an innovative Wideband LC-1 I think its called? Im also only 17 so I got a long ways to go before I start to turbo the car. Need a better job and I would like to get some track days in with drifting the car to get the hang of it a little bit more than what I already have done in it. Flyin Miata's kit looks good and also the Begi Kit. I mean which one would you choose because they both seem to good reputable kits and im sure you can add a hell of a lot more power than what it is estimated at of course with a MS. Ive done a lot of reading and I just want to do it right the first time. I've learned from my mistakes on the car that I shouldve done this first instead of doing this. Also I dont want to buy the wrong parts and to me buying a pre fabbed kit would probably be my best choice. Though everyone tells me to buy a 1.8 Motor and turbo that instead of the 1.6. I have confidence that if I pieced together a kit that it would work well (hopefully). I think a member on another website said that he bought a pre fabbed to learn how it is all put together and then pieced one out or something which isnt a bad idea if you got money which I do not have at the moment. Also Flyin Miata had a instruction manual for installing one of their turbo kits that I was reading through today. I think reading that a couple times will make me more confident in what parts to buy and putting them together. Thank you guys and sorry for having such a long post but you'll be hearing from me again. Gonna lurk the forum some more and read up on some more builds !! Suggestion, you guys should make a build specifically thread on here that way people looking for specific motor builds its easier to find but, thank you again! Glad to have the help from you guys

Correct. I've owned both the blue gauge and red. Red imo looks best with the rest of a red dash (I have a msm). Blue is very bright, very readable in the sunlight top down, nightmare at night or blue light of death.

Just form a plan stan. If you haven't evaluated how you can start saving up money its very simple. Out of your current job are you able to set aside say $100 a paycheck? Pocket that. $200 a mo becomes 2400 for the year. Increase your input and you increase that potential outcome.

$300/mo = 3600/yr
$500/mo = 6000/yr (possibly efr status, ballin)

And no driffffffz please. :crx:

Both kits are equally great sitting side by side, but since you have time why not do research on what you want. I'd still argue 1.8 > 1.6L motor first. You will be much better off ;)

Because there is no tangible purpose to drifzz other than to seek the attention and approval of other men. Seeking the attention and approval of other men, by standards of evolutionary psychology, is a trait which is purely feminine in nature. This is a performance forum, and drifzz has no performance component to it. If you want to gain the attention and approval of other men, while simultaneously confusing and repelling women, drifzz is where it's at. You will hate your car in 2 years, and you will sell it to the next 17 year old kid for one tenth the money you wasted on it, and you will forever shun sports cars - but hey, if that's your thing...

Less than one percent of people who do the drift thang are actually respectable, good at what they do, and stick around for more than a couple events. That means that there is greater than a 99% chance that you are not this person. It will break you financially to be a drifting one percenter - and we're not talking gold digging girlfriend style - I'm talking "hardcore heroin addiction bankrupts corporate middle manager" style - unless your definition of "drifting" means doing donuts in the high school parking lot after class.

The miata is quite possibly the worst car you could pick for drifzz for the EXACT reasons that it is the most raced car in the world. Racing is actual competition - competition is almost purely masculine in nature. Think of racing as the "short track olympic speed skating" of the car world and realize that, in comparision, drifting is "synchronized swimming".

I remember when my best friend listened to and believed everything his high school buddies told him too. He would try to tell me this stuff as it was gospel; I was at least smart enough to ignore his sermons. You're an idiot.
