Greddy to BEGi Garrett GT2554

I'm ditching my Greddy based kit for a BEGi S kit. It's time.

I think I'm going to go with the stainless steel feed/drain line upgrade but I'd like to retain the stainless steel braided oil feed line that came with the Greddy kit since it's already installed on my engine block. Will the banjo fitting for the TD04H oil feed hook right up to the Garrett GT2554? If so, would you anticipate any problems with going that route?

I'm also considering the divorced wastegate DP upgrade. I'm looking more for spool-up and low end performance than big HP numbers so I'm wondering if the DP upgrade is worth it.

Thanks!

#1 You'll love the spool and torque curve, but you WILL miss the extra top end, but I still think that it was worth it. ;)

#2 The GReddy banjo will NOT fit. I tried swapping in the correct banjo end and just ended up with a leak at the new fitting attached to the braided stainless hose so I'd recommend just getting a new line.

#3 As for the divorced DP, it makes theoretical sense, but there has been no evidence of how much of a difference it really makes. Especially, since you are running the GT2554R that already spools up super quick, I think that it'd make even less of a difference.

Meh. The oil feed line is hooked up to some mystery source near the passenger side of the engine block since my previous crate engine didn't even have the usual source. Hopefully the plug on the driver's side will work on the mystery source.

Thanks for the input! I've been waffling between the 2554 and the 2860 upgrade. I know either one will be an improvement over the GReddy low end profile but I've been up near 200 RWHP before. I don't see myself going much past 225 at any point. :bigtu:

then you dont want the 2860, if anything the 2560. the 2860 will feel very similar to the 15g.

Ah yeah, meant to say 2560. Thanks man. Gonna order it Monday morning. This decision will probably go right down to the wire. :bigtu:

Shoot me pictures of your oil line, we will see what we can do to work around it. No guarantees, but we can try. :)
