GT25 Turbo Help Needed!
Looking to buy a turbo to start my setup off, will a Focus RS GT25 fit onto a HKS manifold if so what downpipe should i use or will i need to get one made up?
|
Yes, there is no downpipe and turbo combo associated with the HKS manifold; it's only sold by itself. You'll need to have a bespoke one made for your app.

Cheers :)

Second question then, will this http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/Ford-Focus-RS-...QQcmdZViewItem
Fit on a HKS manifold with custom DP? Just want to makesure i get a turbo thats gonna fit! |
I think so. You need to ask the seller if it's a standard T2 mounting flange, as that's what the manifold uses.
|
That turbine flange looks a little different than a normal T2 flange. I would hold off on this particualt turbo and find a GT2554R off a MazdaSpeed Protege.

I would use a Bell Engineering manifold and DP, but if you can find a used FM that will work too.
|
FM DP won't fit a nissan turbo. they use a slightly altered 5 stud rear exit on the exhaust flange. the t28 i bought off an r33 wouldn't fit the fm2 downpipe i had.

Is the MazdaSpeed Protege a Mazda 3 or 323 in the UK, whats the engine a 2.0 turbo or 2.3?
Shame about the nissan turbo fitment, i refuse to buy a kit! |
the mazdaspeed protege was just before the 3 was introduced. the 323 was a hatchback from 86-94 (sedan option from 86-89 i believe) in the states. the protege began in the US in '90 and looked like a 323 from the front, but has always been a sedan here from that year.
the turbos that were used on the 323s were IHI. same for the protege gt. mazdaspeed protege http://www.modernracer.com/images/ma...otegeside1.jpg it's 2.0 turbo. |
Thanks for the info :)
