Default What do we think of this?

NB miata turbo parts

This guy said he wants $700 for everything.

My concerns: Intercooler/intercooler piping. He actually has a build thread on this site and HE doesn't even know if they will work. Worse comes to worse, people say the cxracing intercooler/pipes kit is good right?

I don't know where the turbo is from. Most likely from ebay as its new and the price he wants for everything wouldn't accommodate a name brand turbo.

The manifold sketches me out. I think it came with studs and they seem to be broken off, I could just drill them out and use helicoils right? If not I would love to diy one.

There are some things missing, now I haven't turbo'd anything before so it's hard for me to know exactly what else I would have to buy buy here is what I think I will need.

Downpipe/exhaust-also would like the experience of DIY'ing
clutch
There is no way to attach the MAF sensor to anything, but Megasquirt deletes the MAF so could I just ziptie it to the side?
Water lines
Ms3/ms3x (plan to build myself)
oil return line
Wideband
way to attach BOV, i think it can just be welded onto the intercooler pipe?

I think that's most everything, please tell me if there is something I'm not remembering. I think this is the right place for this??

ITS not a deal. It's just, for sale. The intercooler is poo IMO, the turbo can be had for super cheap, piping is cheap. I know nothing about LINK.

"we" think that it's highly counter productive and silly for a n00b to buy a random mis-matched jumble of outdated and mediocre parts that another n00b didn't have the brainpower and talent to get working on his own car, as their very first turbocharging effort

but that's just "us"

I remember this kit.
I would pass, especially if you're going to diy a bunch of stuff anyway.
You'll spend more time and money getting this to work and fixing what doesn't than if you just come up with a plan or use a kit from FM.
One of the CX racing kits looks decent, but the few people who have used them haven't given a lot of feedback yet.

Thanks for the info, I knew he posted that this kit was for sale on this site at some point in his build thread but I forgot to look how long ago it was.

Well if that's all you wanted, you could have just searched the msm section on craigslist.

I was referring to 18 pointing out that I put "we" in the title. Not that I just wanted to have a turbo'd miata. Still funny tho xD

What's the problem? I thought all miata drivers frequented that section along with /r/cosmetology?
