has anyone seen these wideband conrtollers?
SLC DIY
a buddy told me about these yesterday. he said it's supposed to be better than the LC-1 and AEM widebands... thoughts? |
$175 for kit, cable, and sensor to my door and I still have to build it.
An LC-1 is $192 shipped 2nd day from amazon (prime!) and comes ready to go. with a warranty. |
I see people bitching about how finicky the lc-1's are all the time. I want something reliable.
Are the AEM any better? |

After building my MS I was convinced a DIY WBO2 was my next project from Tech Edge. The kit cost over $300.00 after shipping to my door, threw it together with nearly ZERO instructions included in the kit and the fucker does NOT WORK. It has some diagnostic tests while building and its stuck on the fourth of fifth. Support? What support?
http://jugrnot.com/wbo2/CRW_5051.jpg Never took a picture of it fully assembled and probably never will. Took it up the ass on that project. |
I'm perfectly satisfied with my AEM and see no reason why I would want anything more. Like said above, I have no reason to be above 18:1 or below 10:1. Hook up was easy as can be, works with my MS, seems to be accurate.

With cashback you can get a new UEGO on ebay for $170

there's a guy local to me with a turbo protege with an AEM. i'm going to see how he likes it... |
I had problems with the lc-1. Ya it probably was the way i hooked it up and grounded it blah blah blah, But i sold it and got my money back to buy a AEM Uego and it works flawlessly, just grounded to a bolt on the tunnel. It reads perfect to the ms, and i can trust it now and actually tune. No reason to go lc-1 that i see.

send it to me with everything that came with it. I'll make it work. It just might take a while. And I might ask for $10 after it's functional. :)
TechEdge was a good deal when the exchange was .60 USD to 1 AUD That'd be great if you could get it working! :makeout: |
