HELP!! Coolant lines keep leaking!

Hello all,

Can anyone help me figure out a cheap way to fix my leaking coolant hose problem. I have a heat shield over my turbo, but my heater coolant lines keep melting and coolant goes everywhere. I keep buying hoses and replacing them but was wondering if there was a permanent way to remedy this issue. I was thinking Hood louvers would help, but don't want to buy them if you guys think it won't help. If there's another thread with this information please let me know!!! I'm a total noob when it comes to Miatas...

Thanks!!

Put silicone hoses and isolate them.

My hoses go to steel tubes right up by the bend so they aren't rubber as they pass the exhaust, but my mixing manifold hose goes under the brake master and stays away from the exhaust in that way also.

You have the FM heat shield and heat reflective fiberglass wrap and you're still melting the heater core hoses? There's something unusual going on, because that's not the normal case IME.

What are your EGTs?

Could be the CAS is pissing oil all over the hoses.

Severely retarded timing.

You crushed the heater core fittings by pulling/twisting the hoses off the nipples. Remove the rubber hoses, straighten out your heater core fittings (hammer sockets into them in progressively larger sizes to get them semi-round again), then install silicone heater hoses.

I used a tapered brass punch, which worked really well:
