Help trouble shooting my ebc

Ok so my setup is an MS3basic running an EFR EBC. I was running on the low boost can but am planning to get a tune done this weekend and need to get my EBC working.

I have also emailed rev on this but through I would ask you fine ppl as well as I need to get this resolved asap.

Here is what i have done so far.

confirmed the efr ebc works
  • ebc closes using a 9v battery directly to terminals
  • I then suspected the pigtail/connector so i cut that off the wiring i have in the car and tested that and the ebc with a 9v battery. confirmed ebc and connector work
  • when I say it works I mean i can hear the sol close and i also confirmed that i could not blow air through the inlet connection.

So then I suspected the MS3basic

First, here is how I have this wired
  • I took 12 volts from the diagnostic port in engine bay =>white green wire.
  • Grounded the EBC through the yellow white wire on the ms3basic
For testing MS3

I ran diagnostic mode and turned "on" PP3-boost. settings were 26hz and 100% duty cycle

I measure 11.48v across the ebc plug when doing this. With PP3-boost "off" I get a very low reading maybe 0.12v. Is this normal or maybe very bad??

When testing in diagnostic mode the ebc never actuates, I test with air and also listen for sound.

My next assumption is that the diagnostic port does not have sufficient current to run the EBC??

I have read a few post about using the small blue/green plug near the head light as a 12v source. I have no such plug that I can find. The car is a NB2 with day time running lights as I'm in Canada.

Should i be searching for another 12v switched source or should I be looking for another issue. The only other thing I can think of would be a ms3 board issue..

Thanks in advance.

I got this working. The fix was to source 12v from another location.

As I have deleted egr and charcoal canister I used one of the spare solenoid connector that had a red and white wire. Which is a keyed 12v source.
