Default no boost...

took the car out today for a trial run and some auto-tuning with the Hydra...
And I can't get into boost!!!!!!!!!! The car seems to run fine... except both the hydra, and the Greddy boost gauge only reach O on their respective displays...

Heres the setup... T3/T4 with tial wastegate, JGS manifold, Rx7 460's, FMIC, Joe-p MBC (inline), and the Hydra Nemisis.

Had the car up to about 5500, in 2nd and 3rd gear, watched the knock screen on he laptop... and while there was "knock" though well well below the knock threshold that FM has set in to the hydra.... the vaccum would only go up to 0 never actually reach boost, no sound from my Greddy BOV when shifting, never hear the wastegate open... NOTHING NOTHING NOTHING!!!!!!!

Any ideas????

Does the turbo also have an internal wastegate in addition to the external? Is it possible that either of them is stuck open?

no internal wastegate, just the Tial (mechanical boost is .4 bar)
And the Tial is vented to the atmosphere, it doesn'ty go back to the exhaust at all.

I'm actually worried that I screwed something up somehow.... Though I spent time to make sure that the BOV and wastegate were plumbed correctly...

It's gotta be boost leak somewhere- in the intake piping or on the other end. Even with a waste gate "leak" at 5500 you'd some kind of boost... unless you've got a massive wastegate. I'd check all intake connections- I had the hose right off the turbo feel sealed by touch, but when under boost it would crack open. - rob

I'm going to go check in a bit... I have a weird feeling that the crappy pep boys couplers I snagged at the last minute for the intercooler connections are ballooning on me or something...

had an intercooler pipe blown off.... that seems to have fixed things... haven't driven the car yet... still have to take care of an oil leak at my sandwich plate... Going to hit up Wal mart in a bit for some oil and some high temp silicone gasket maker for the sandwich plate...

Are you talking about the sandwich plate at the oil filter mount (for a cooler or remote mount)? If so, the gasket maker won't work (or won't last long). It should have an o-ring like an oil filter. It needs to be an o-ring to compensate for the thermal expansion and contraction. - rob
