kotomile 12-16-2007 05:32 PM

Rotornut seems to be pretty good at getting them :)

Might want to add a heatsink to your wideband sensor. It's going to get killed pretty fast from the heat coming out the turbo. Recommended distance is around 36" from turbine outlet.
The AEM sensors aren't cheap either because you have to buy the precalibrated AEM one.

flyineunos 12-16-2007 11:43 PM

hmm ok. ive been told to move it back from cr.net also.

pakman.. we should kick it sometimes. im with tony and bay from time to time. Come by Family Fun Arcade.. im there most of the time.

The AEM manual also tells you correct sensor placement.

looks good, I really like the look of your car btw. The front lip makes it look alot more agressive

flyineunos 12-17-2007 03:13 AM

thanks slutz4.. i was going for the aggressive look >:D

for some reason.. the pictures dont make my car look that great.

ill record a video of my car rolling tmrw :D

I had mine put just on top of my factory one..... Which is 18-25'' from the turbine outlet. Seems to be working fine there. (1500 miles later no problems.)

Zabac 12-17-2007 10:17 AM

few questions, i hope you dont mind
1. can you see when you hit the red line with your AEM there?
2. when your radiator fan comes on, does it mess up your idle, and do you have a way of monitoring your IAT? just saying, i would not like my filter to suck up warm radiator air you know...
and lastly, cjernigan nailed it with the AEM sensor placement, you will kill it quickly if you leave it there...its worth the extra time and hassel to relocate it asap

Where ever you weld the bung for it. Narrowband sensors are cheap and for some reason are not as easily damaged from high heat. Mine is about 18" from the turbine outlet with no failures. My wideband is near the end of my downpipe.

flyineunos 12-17-2007 01:57 PM

i hardly ever redline my car.. but yea, i can see if im about to hit redline with my gauge right there.

and thanks everyone for giving me the headsup on the wideband sensor placement. i guess ill move it down 3feet... or as far away from the turbo possible lol

Nice car, that lip makes the difference. Do you guys know where you can buy the OEM lip from a place that ships to Australia? :bigtu:
