Hey Guys you Think I have enough!

http://i125.photobucket.com/albums/p...5/icpiping.jpg

18LBS total, the 2.5" ,8ft of ss steel tubing on the left and 4ft of 2" ss tubing, think I'll have enough for both my dp and Ic piping, probly not:confused:, the price tag 50.00 total

Arkmage 02-28-2007 05:54 PM

your IC pipes are going to be expensive if you are planning to use silicone for all of your bends...

ColoradoSpringsMiata 02-28-2007 06:52 PM

clean your room!!

only way i see that working is like mentioned above or LOTS of cutting and LOTS of welding. why dont you get some bends?

soospecmx5 02-28-2007 07:11 PM

Is that a stripper pole in your room you holding?:gay: j/p

RicanmiataRacer 02-28-2007 09:10 PM

damn you guessed it, Its my personal strip pole lol, well anyways I was going to use half the ss 2.5 tubing to have my exhaust downpipe fabbed at a shop I frequent, And Im planning on using the smaller 2" diameter ss tubing with 2" to 2.5" couplers for Ic and throttle body, since the outlet of my turbo is 2" It should work well, and I Guess whatever is left of my 8ft piece I'll etheir sell to recycling center or donate to a exhaust shop

RicanmiataRacer 02-28-2007 09:12 PM

I believe Im going to need more 2" ss tubing, I'll get that later once My down is fabbed with both o2 sensor and wideband bungs

cjernigan 02-28-2007 09:50 PM

Are they gonna tig weld it or use SS mig wire? Are the bends giong to be made "pie-cut" style or you getting some of them as well?

Trent 02-28-2007 10:03 PM

i went with the "sections of pipe and metric fuck-ton of couplers" method myself, and now i regret it. Too much to worry about. Any of about 22 couplers could blow off and leave me shut down.

RicanmiataRacer 02-28-2007 10:05 PM

Im not sure about how the welding is going to go on but I do know they have a ss welder and a mandrel bender, so bending the ss steel to my liking should'nt be too hard, theres a place in altamonte that specializes in ic piping, I'll more than likly end up there.

cjernigan 02-28-2007 10:12 PM

Ah, that answer's my questions then, sounds like a good deal to me. Just don't let them fuck you over with labor. See if they'll give you a discount for rocking a sticker of theirs or something, doesn't hurt to ask.

cut up some 12-18" sections of 2"... have them bend up a couple of 90's, or what ever degree you need...

If thats a stripper pole, show us a little video of you dancing. :gay:

beerslurpy 03-01-2007 01:11 AM

Err you sure about that? THose fuckers are hard to find.

Kelly 03-01-2007 01:32 AM

2" Stainless mandrel bends are pretty fucking cheap. Pick up a few and make your life easy.

Seeing how they start at $30,000 yeah, they're not common.
+1 for just buying some bends.

LOOINEY 03-01-2007 02:12 AM
