Hole in Turbo?
4 Attachment(s)
All,
I have a gt2554r that I am planning on installing. I couldn't help but notice a small hole above the threaded holes of the oil drain. The turbo is practically new and has never been installed. Is this normal or more importantly will it cause the turbo to leak? I think it may be just a cover for the internal parts and not actually hold oil but confirmation would be awesome :) Thanks in advance. |

If you're talking about that little hole to the left of the yellow tape, on the back side of the oil drain flange...yeah, that's just the other side of the bolt hole. Nothing to worry about.

Crappy Garrett turbos. You should have bought a Chinese turbo off ebay.

Is it groundhog day. I swear I've read this exact same post like 2 years ago. Right down to the op arguing that its not a bolt hole.

in the turbo |
It would be funny if the previous thread was started by the guy I bought this turbo from. From here on out i'll just go with a china charger.
