how the heck do you get the nut that holds the compressor wheel on, off?

ive been tring for like 20 min.. is there some special trick? how do you hold the shaft from spinning?

Might be reverse-threaded :gay:

Yeah should be reverse threaded. Don't reef on it too hard, if you bend that shaft you're focked. Best way to take it off is with a two handled driver, like a tap holder and extension with socket, with the turbine wheel nub clamped in a vice.

You don't say what kind of turbo it is.

However, since I think all turbo's are the same when it comes to this:
You've gotta have two sockets... one on the nut (compressor side), and one on the shaft (turbine side)... and it's reverse threaded.

Are you doing a rebuild? If it's a T25, here:

use the right tool.

and make sure the threading is correct, a lot are reseverse threading.
