How much oil drain hose do I need?

I know in Brains FAQ it says 24" do I need that much? T3 turbo on a 1.6. Seems most of the oil drain hose kits come with 13.5" hoses, too short?

Common is 18", but you buy hose in foot lengths that's why he says 24" then chop it to fit. Where are you buying your stuff from that sells 13.5" hoses? Sounds like honda/nissan lengths

if you value your drain hose's integrity, consider getting some home depot pipe fittings to move the rubber down a few inches from the CHRA and hot turbine housing.

Mine is the ATP adapter, a male-male nipple, a female female coupler, and a -10AN to male adapter. then I use I think a 12-14" stainless hose to another male / -10 fitting in the oil pan.
