Have a look here: http://www.cardomain.com/ride/238335/8 http://memimage.cardomain.com/ride_i...0045_large.jpg For the right height you could just use a flat bar (don't know how to describe better in english) with the lenght of the width of your hood and use that as a level between the left and right fender. Maybe the lower part of the fender at the engine bay... (understandable?) Greets |

Made some progress. No tools FTL. Pinched a ruler with a pair of vise grips and used that to push on the metal to act like a brake to bend it. Not ideal, but it worked. Taking my time as I'm not sure how I'm gonna finish it out.

Then just loosely snug up a hose clamp around the pipe and bracket to fasten it. That way the box moves with the pipe when the motor torques. Nothing set it stone yet though. It just isn't working out to be able to easily bolt this thing down using the factory given bolts inside the boxed area. |

Attachment 208562 Attachment 208563 Attachment 208564 Attachment 208565 Attachment 208566 Attachment 208567 It's installed now. Still loud, but maybe the turbo's getting cooler air than before. Haven't installed any foam yet. The shield's actually not done. I've still gotta build a couple pieces to completely seal the box up. Needs a piece below the air filter to make a "floor" so it can't pull hot air from there and also needs one that seals it up under the charge pipe where it enters the box. After that, I'll probably fill it with foam. Then, I dunno. Maybe build a lid over it, maybe not. Also unsure if I should paint it silver to match the car or black. I'm thinking silver to match. |
Nice work so far!
