Default forged internals in!!! still smoking

just got my car back and its lightly smoking white smoke from the tail pipe...
just completely rebuilt with pistons rods and other stuff....
is this normal after the motor was rebuilt??
btw it was smoking a lot when i brought it to be rebuilt... maybe oil still left over???
thanks

see if it's still smoking after it's been broken in, and the rings have seated.

My guess is that the head isnt sealing. Did the place that rebuilt it shave the head?

I say at least a few thousand miles, neogen says a few minutes. I'd recommend treating it just like a brand new car (for the same reason). Drive like a granny for a couple thousand miles, little to no boost. You say it's smoking lightly, that it's light is a good sign.

Basically, drive it like it isn't warmed up yet.

could be bad turbo seals, oil pouring into the exhaust housing will create white smoke, if your rings wernt seating it would be blue, and its doubtful that you have a BHG, but smell the smoke, if its sweet it will be Headgasket

brand new cometic head gasket installed two days ago... only drove the car 5 miles and it was lightly smoking... does it have anything to do with the filter on the pcv valve???

you are talking about the breather not the pcv it sounds like. The pcv is the port by the IM, the breather is at the front near the intake (exhaust side).
