That's ugly.

Doesn't explain low compression on the other cylinders.

"steam from everywhere" makes me assume cracked/warped head

And I'm still wondering why this is under DIY, is it because you blew it up yourself?

Pop the head and prosper. If it's really bad then take comfort in the logic of a built motor. The safety and margin if error with a motor like what I built is awesome. Even at 300whp.

Savington already offered to build me a motor.
I'll most likely have good pictures of the inside carnage tomorrow or wednesday.

Nothing quite like peace of mind when you're bumping the 7400rpm limiter doing around a buck twenty-five, spitting a little flame out, snapping into 6th, and getting right back to full boost... lap, after lap, after lap.

True. Except I don't road race. If I go built I will be going big turbo, at least 30r+, and go drag racing like Jay

You should try loading up on curbing at 90mph and throttle steering out in 5th (if you don't hit that curbing to shift weight, you're going to be a passenger).

It was really cool to drive my car 4-hours away, drive the **** out of it for 2-days and rape all day, then drive home another 4-hours and know that you're going to make it.

I wish tial made those housings for more than just GT series turbines. They won't even sell me a rough casting to get someone like gpop to machine out for me. Bunch of tools.

Sorry to hear it Vlad. There is a distict reason that I haven't sold my spare 99 motor. I suspect that I will need it someday much more than the few hundred that it would net and likely cost more to get one RIGHT NOW when I need it. So, it languishes in the shop.
