IAT sensor question and Idle-control question

1 Attachment(s)
If I install the IAT sensor, does it mean I can eliminate the whole airbox (including cross tube) and MAF assembly?

For the Idle control under the throttle body, there is a hose that connects to the cross tube (circled on the picture). Do you need this hose connected? If so, what have you guys done?

You'll need a pipe sticking off the throttle body to at least screw the IAT sensor into, most people using put a hose barb on the same pipe for the idle bypass hose. Otherwise yes, it all gets removed. Some people have eliminated the idle valve and therefore that hose you have circled, which I'm looking into myself right now, I'm tired of ti giving me a 2000rpm idle.

dont forget about the blow-by or whatever it's called (that releases pressure back into the intake), what do you do with that?

Blow by refers to pressure getting past your piston rings. You're refering to the pressure that remains in the system after you close the throttle. A blow off valve fixes that. Bit I'd your budget is extremely small, you can run without temporarily.

I just wired up my IAT sensor and the sensor is just lying around right now. I do not know why my car won't start. Any suggestions

Check for spark and fuel. What .msq do you have loaded? We need some more information.

I have a MSPNP. When I jump the fuel pump, it works, however, when it is not jumped, it doesn't work. Before installing the IAT sensor, the MSPNP worked without being jumped. Did I burn a fuse or something?

Well, I must have burn the fuel relay fuse in the MS. Darn it.
