ID1000 question
I have some solder-in pigtails for the id1000s i bought from a guy on here. Two pigtails have the same color. The other two are different colors and one of them has a what seems to be butt connector or resistor on it. Anyone who has experience with id1000 install, let me know which goes where and if i should keep the little butt/resistor.
On the injector harness, the wire colors are (rear to front of engine): white/blue-yellow/green white/blue-yellow/red white/blue-purple/green white/blue-yellow/black -- The id1000 pigtails have: yellow/black-white/red yellow/black/white/red yellow-red <to> white/red yellow-white/red -- I'm pretty sure the NA and NB injector harnesses are the same, but this is for a 1999. Thanks.https://cimg5.ibsrv.net/gimg/www.mia...f35f181c95.jpg |
polarity doesn't matter.

Crimp don't solder.

Hook the white/blue wires up to the white/red wires. Then the other colors to the other ones. That is a butt crimp connector on the one pigtail because there was limited amount of wiring coming out. Nothing to worry about.

Soldered wire doesn't last long in high vibration environment

Dangit I went to strip the wire back and the wire came out of the freaking pigtail. It came out really easily.. makes me worried about the others. Now I have to recrimp wire into new pins and repin it.
