Idle Valve Routing

What is a good thing to do with the little hose that comes out of the TB for the idle valve? Hook it into the intercooler piping, or just put a filter on it?

I've got a filter on mine right now but it's pretty ghetto so I'm going to fix it this weekend.

I run a 3/4" hose from mine over to the fender and have a filter on it.

May be best to run it to the intercooler piping though for 2 reasons.

1. keeps air moving over the IAT sensor which should aid in preventing heatsoak.
2. MS knows the temp of the air being drawn in to your engine.

I wouldn't stick a filter on it right at the TB. It'll draw in warmer air there right off the radiator.

Does the IAC close completely under boost? I would be worried about boost leaking out the iac hose.

it should seal completely in any condition that's not idle.

Is there any issue to removing the IAC valve with a block of plate. I know someone who has done that and they havent seemed to have any problems.

a few members here don't use an idle valve.
